Kevin Love will be in the Three-Point Contest.

The field was announced by the NBA on Wednesday, and Love is among the six gunslingers who will be hoisting on All-Star Saturday night Feb. 25.

Known more for his rebounding, Love is shooting 36 percent (44-of-122) from 3-point range this season, slightly below his career mark. The All-Star forward of the Minnesota Timberwolves is participating for the first time.

Also in the field are defending champion James Jones and Mario Chalmers of the Miami Heat, All-Star Joe Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks, Ryan Anderson of the Orlando Magic and Anthony Morrow of the New Jersey Nets.

A year ago, Jones outshot former champions Paul Pierce and Ray Allen of Boston to become the third Heat in five years to win the competition, joining Jason Kapono and Daequan Cook. He is shooting just over 40 percent (19-of-47) this season.

Chalmers is at a blistering 46 percent (57-of-123), Johnson is shooting 36 percent (53-of-149), Anderson is at 42 percent (80-of-190) and Morrow also is at 42 percent (60-of-143).

Anderson has made 19 more 3-pointers than any other player this season.

Those with high percentages not invited or choosing not to particpate include league leader Brandon Rush (.548) and rookie Klay Thompson (.500) of Golden State, Allen (.495) and Knicks forward Steve Novak (.468).
