NEW YORK – New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith has been fined $25,000 for posting inappropriate pictures on his Twitter account, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, the NBA vice president of basketball operations.
On Thursday night when the Knicks were in Milwaukee, Smith tweeted the photo shown at the, ahem, bottom of this post.
The thong-covered posterior belongs to Tahiry Jose.
Deadspin said she is a self-described “bartender-turned-magazine cover model” who has a Facebook fan page that refers to her as “The aGirl with the biggest ass ever.” Jose used to date rapper Joe Budden.
When asked about it before New York’s loss at Milwaukee, Smith told the New York Times, “I get a lot of criticism for everything, so I don’t worry about it. I just focus on the game.”
Later, Smith said he regretted the action, admitting it was a distraction for the team, and deleted the tweet.
Smith is averaging 8.9 points on 38 percent shooting in nine games for the Knicks.

Knicks Clyde Frazier is the opposite of a Rabbit foot. He is a provocateur. The Knicks need to increase their chances for success and the quickest way to accomplish that is to eliminate the Heckler Walt Clyde Frazier.
If you add up all the different players and coaches that have been replaced in the past Decade, the only negative person they have remaining is Clyde. Think about it Larry Brown, Isaiah, Lenny Wilkens, I mean these guys well deserved until the came into Clydes territory. Then all of a sudden, only Clydes the Legend.
Clyde is a thorn that needs to get Plucked so that the Knicks can move on.
None of those guys you mention never have done anything for the Knicks as Walt has. Get rid of the guy who is responsible for the only titles in Knick history? Please leave the candy alone
