One day after I commend the Spurs for their impressive winning streak, they follow-up with a demoralizing loss to the Lakers, who were without Kobe Bryant. This was not demoralizing in a sense that the loss will really affect them. The issue was that the Spurs seemed to have no answer to Andrew Bynum. Bynum grabbed an incredible 30 rebounds, while Tim Duncan was held to only 4. Not only that, but Metta World Peace scored 26 points, shooting 5-8 from three point range. I shouldn’t jump off the Spurs bandwagon after one bad game, but it seems to me that if the Spurs and Lakers meet in the playoffs, there may be some serious matchup issues for the Spurs.
