It’s easy to sign up, fun to pick a team (9 players within a $60,000 salary cap) and a great challenge to win. One-day leagues are the wave of the future. I’m not abandoning traditional season-long formats, of course. This is a whole new hobby.
Just click the logo to join, and we’ll see you there. You can enter multiple times (up to five) to increase your chances of winning and it’s limited to 555 teams, first-come, first-served.
Here are the leagues I’ve joined so far, with entry fee and first-place prize. The total pool is usually part of the league name; it’s $9 in a 10-player league and $90 when there are 100 teams. That 10% takeout is more than twice as good as horseplayers are used to; some racetracks deduct more than 30% from certain “exotic” wagers, and a 15% “take” from “straight” pools (Win, Place & Show) has become a rarity.
