One answer is easy, Maurice Cheeks. The other, none other than Wilt Chamberlain. At the start of the 1967-68 season, Wilt decided he would lead the league in assists, which he did with 720, including 21 against Detroit on Feb. 28, 1968. He also was the league leader in rebounds that year, averaging 24 points a game.
