When we created last week’s Bernucca List, we believed that there was one correct answer.
That answer was provided by reader Brian Rivel, who determined the list was made up of the five players who finished second in the major statistical categories – scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks and steals – a season ago.
Prior to Brian’s correct answer, however, reader Jordan Dant pointed out that the group also had another distinct common thread: All five had parents who played pro sports.
Kobe Bryant’s father played in the NBA. Mike Conley’s dad was a long jumper. Kevin Love’s father also played in the NBA. JaVale McGee’s mother played in the WNBA. And Steve Nash’s dad played pro soccer.
So in addition to Brian, we give props to Jordan as well. This is the sort of participation we are looking for.
This week’s list is after the jump.
