Way back in September, we published our first depth chart. We’ve tried to keep it reasonably accurate with weekly updates, which on most Saturday afternoons are just one part of the Weekly Fantasy Planner by Jeff Nichols. Last week, with Jeff — who does the lion’s share of work tracking changes — on a foreign business trip, I forgot to fill in. Today, there simply isn’t time for much insight.
On Sundays, a schedule analysis is only one section in Jeff’s excellent previews of the week ahead, but it’s all I can manage tomorrow. The Sheridan fantasy department will be back at full strength next weekend (if not before) to my great relief. Apologies for any errors or omissions in this version of the chart.
The most interesting addition is rookie Andrew Nicholson, who is thriving on more minutes in Orlando. Cartier Martin of the Wizards might have fantasy value for a few weeks. Devin Ebanks also made the list and even started for the Lakers last night, but will be worth owning only until the imminent return of Pau Gasol.
The vast majority of changes were injury related. [Brackets on], brackets off. The Raptors lost key starters Kyle Lowry and Andrea Bargnani while other teams got important players back, like Kyrie Irving.
*Asterisks denote rookies. Each player’s name links to his page in our Scores & Stats section. The three-letter team abbreviations link to their rosters and clicking on any small icon will open up the corresponding Team Page.
