Sheridan: Updating NBA’s hottest teams, Nets and Nuggets

If you spent your weekend watching football, that is understandable. Lots of great games, great finishes, etc.

If that caused you to turn a blind eye toward the NBA, we’ve got you covered.

First of all, the longest winning streak in the Association belongs to the Brooklyn Nets, who have turned P.J. Carlesimo from a seat-warmer for Phil Jackson into the leading candidate for Coach of the Month for January (Carlesimo’s predecessor, Avery Johnson, won the award in November).

Secondly, the second-longest winning streak belongs to the Denver Nuggets, who are sitting on a $13 million trade exception that figures to come into play in the next month or so.

I hit on those two teams and took a look at the week ahead in this interview with CineSport’s Noah Coslov.
