RANKPLAYERRUNDOWNLAST
176ers SixersJRUE HOLIDAY, G, PHILADELPHIA: He retains the top spot after a three-game stretch in which he averaged 31 points and 11 assists per game. And how’s this for improvement: Holiday has already recorded more assists this season (323) than he had all of last season (290).1
2PAUL GEORGE, F, INDIANA: Charles Barkley was laughed out of the T.V. studio when he mentioned that he’d take George over Chris Bosh before last year’s Pacers-Heat series. Well, who’s laughing now? If George isn’t an All-Star, we should just cancel the All-Star Game.-
3MagicNIKOLA VUCEVIC, C, ORLANDO: Another solid week for the Vucevator, who has now put up double-doubles in nine of his last 10 games. Seriously, how much could the Sixers use his production this season? You’ve got to hand it to Magic G.M. Rob Hennigan for fleecing everybody in the Howard trade.2
4HornetsGREIVIS VASQUEZ, G, NEW ORLEANS: If you don’t know Greivis, you better get familiar. Vasquez had a terrific week, putting up 19 points, 11 assists and 7 boards in the Hornets’ win over the Kings on Monday. He also dished out 15 assists in a loss to the Warriors on Saturday. Vasquez still ranks third in the league in assists per game.3
5BobcatsKEMBA WALKER, G, CHARLOTTE: Kemba bursts back into the rankings with a 35-point performance in a loss to the Rockets on Monday. He also put up 25 in–gasp–a Bobcats win over the Magic on Friday. The biggest difference in Kemba’s game this season has been his jumper. He’s shooting 43 percent this season, as opposed to 36 percent in 2012.-

DROPOUTS: J.R. Smith, G, New York; Stephen Curry, G, Golden State.

FIVE TO WATCH: Larry Sanders, F, Milwaukee; J.J. Hickson, F, Portland; Nicolas Batum, F, Portland; Ed Davis, F, Toronto; Tristan Thompson, F, Cleveland.
