The situation is strange at best. On one hand, it’s hard to believe that someone would have any reason to fabricate such a detailed story about what happened between O’Neal and the general manager. On the other hand, O’Neal’s angry reaction suggests that he is likely telling the truth as well. Somewhere along the way, wires were crossed in a major way.
At least twitter provides O’Neal a platform to explain his side of the story, and he made sure to use it to his full advantage in this scenario. More importantly, lets hope the “scare” he received isn’t anything too serious.
