It looked as though Kevin Durant may have a big night against the Golden State Warriors on Friday when he started the game shooting 10-of-11 from the field.
It ended up being a career night.
He ended up with 29 points on 11-of-14 shooting after the first half, and continued his hot shooting through the second half to end up with 54 points – a career-high – on 19-of-28 shooting to go with four rebounds and six assists. In the fourth quarter in particular, Durant really caught fire. The forward started launching fadeaway jumpers the moment he caught the ball and hit nothing but net virtually every time, leaving various Warriors defenders completely helpless. The Oklahoma City Thunder eventually beat the Warriors 127-121.
Durant’s incredible shooting display overshadowed Stephen Curry’s 37 points and 11 assists, while capturing the attention of plenty around the league:

That’s still the best Durant game i’ve ever seen, but that could have been an all-timer. You don’t see many in-the-flow 60-pt games. If any.
