Tweet of the Night: Richard Sherman Sets Civilization Back 500 Years

Although there was a five-game slate of NBA action on Sunday, the NBA knew it would be taking a backseat to the NFL.

Kevin Durant didn’t score 54 points, but he did net 30 in a 108-93 win over the Sacramento Kings.

On a normal Sunday, Durant would likely be recognized for scoring at least 30 points in his seventh straight game. 

But on the NFL’s Championship Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman would ensure that would not be the case. After deflecting a pass in the end zone from Colin Kaepernick to Michael Crabtree that led to a game-winning interception, sending the Seahawks to the Super Bowl, the All-Pro and self-proclaimed “best cornerback in the league” had this to say:

Needless to say, this set the Twitter world on fire, and NBA stars in-particular had some great commentary on the ridiculousness of this post-game interview.
