statmannThe Sweet 16 is now set in the NCAA tournament after Sunday’s action. Meanwhile, eight games took place in the NBA on this Palm Sunday.

The Miami Heat extended their win streak to 26 and are now a very serious threat to catch the 1971-72 Lakers 33-game streak. In other action, the Nets are now 3-1 on their eight-game road trip after their tight win over the Suns, James Harden lifted the Rockets to a one-point win over San Antonio and the Thunder dominated the Blazers.

statmannThe round of 64 began on Thursday and outside of the PAC-12′s success as a 12 seed and Harvard earning their first ever tournament win, upsets were at a minimum.

On a very light night in the NBA, the three games on the schedule saw one upset, as the Blazers won on the road in Chicago, but the Sixers blew their chance to snap the Nuggets win streak and perform their own “bracket buster”.

statmannAs the college hoops begins the round of 64 on Thursday, the NBA had a very busy night on Wednesday. 11 games made up the NBA schedule on the 20th of March, 2013.

The Heat are starting to show god-like qualities, as they not only won their 24th straight game on Wednesday, but they accomplished a small miracle by rallying down 27 points in the second half. In other NBA action, the Marc Gasol and Anthony Davis played tip-in the game-winner to lead their teams to exciting wins, Tim Duncan made a visit to the fountain of youth and the Nets kept pace with the Knicks in the race to win the Atlantic Division.
