The Nuggets might not be where the Heat are, but they won their 13th straight game on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, the Clippers were upset by the Kings, the Pacers dominated the Magic, and the Bucks bested the Blazers.

You never know what might happen in the NBA. Against the lowly Kings, I didn’t think LeBron James would need to play more than 30 minutes. Instead, he scored a season-high 40 points, handed out a career-high 16 assists and grabbed eight rebounds in almost 48 minutes on the floor.

Phil Jackson has been considered for the in-season vacancies with both the Lakers and the Nets. Both teams opted for an alternative to the most successful coach in NBA history.

There were reasons why Jackson did not return to coaching, including this possibility: Could it be that Jackson wants to change his game plan and build a championship team from scratch?

During this holiday season, fantasy hoops isn’t the main priority, believe it or not. At about 6:30 on a very busy Saturday, there was time to try one Snake draft. Comfortable at the $2 and $5 level in 3-man and 6-man leagues, I joined a 2-man for $11.
