This past week, the NBA’s second returns of All-Star voting were made public. To nobody’s surprise, with 258,193 tallies, Kyrie Irving was fourth in voting among Eastern Conference guards – well behind Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo and Deron Williams but comfortably ahead of Monta Ellis, Raymond Felton and Jrue Holiday.

Lin gaining ground on Paul in All-Star voting

NEW YORK — Jeremy Lin has narrowed the gap just slightly on Chris Paul in voting for the second guard All-Star spot in the Western Conference.

Don’t rule it out.

The first balloting totals were announced Thursday, and Lin is running a close third in the Western Conference backcourt behind Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul.
