If you watch the linked video a few times, you can see it — DeMarcus Cousins striking O.J. Mayo in the groin.
To the naked eye, it is borderline imperceptible.
But the NBA sees all in reviewing complaints and going to the videotapes, and someone with the Mavericks must have lodged a complaint.
That complaint turned into a one-game suspension Wednesday for Cousins, the Sacramento Kings center, which he will serve tonight in Milwaukee when the Kings play the Bucks. The suspension was announced late in the afternoon by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred with 3:35 remaining in the second quarter of Sacramento’s 119-96 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, Dec. 10 at AmericanAirlines Center.
