There are only five games on a quiet NBA Tuesday, none of them worse in real life than the 14-35 Timberwolves facing the 9-41 Lakers. In daily fantasy, that matchup is much more interesting.
Karl-Anthony Towns $7800 is already a monster, Ricky Rubio $6500 broke out of a shooting slump on Sunday and Gorgui Dieng $5400 matches up well against Julius Randle $6400. The ever-questionable Kobe Bryant $5400 (shoulder) looked fine on Sunday (23 points in 23 minutes) and is playable if he starts.

The $200K Sharpshooter is only a $3 buy-in (FREE with your initial deposit at DraftKings) where the top 17,775 finishers (from up to 76,666 teams) win cash. First place earns $10,000. Deadline is 7:30 EST; enter before it fills. Lineups can be adjusted until each player’s game begins.
Isaiah Thomas $7500 leads the Celtics into New York; with Jae Crowder $6000 (leg) questionable we might see Avery Bradley $5700 take more shots. Evan Turner $4700 and the improving Marcus Smart $5400 should get extra minutes, while Amir Johnson $5100 could be active at both ends.
Carmelo Anthony $8400 has two straight double-doubles and Robin Lopez $4700 is effective down low, but the Knicks guards are unreliable. Jose Calderon $4000 (groin) may return after missing three games, while Arron Afflalo $4900 can score 20 one game and go ice-cold the next.
James Harden $10300 was amazing in defeat on Saturday (40 PTS, 11 AST, 7 REB, 4 STL) and Dwight Howard $7300 has been ejected in two consecutive games. Trevor Ariza $5900 has been playing more at PF lately with good results, and Josh Smith $4300 seems happy to be back with the Rockets. On a four-game win streak, Miami would match up better if Hassan Whiteside $7400 (hip) could play; Amare Stoudemire $4400 has filled in better than expected. Chris Bosh $7700 and Dwyane Wade $7300 will need to be at their best for the Heat to win.
It’s a road back-to-back for Milwaukee, against a Blazers club that’s been at home for two weeks and won four straight. Damian Lillard $9200, C.J. McCollum $6900 and Al-Farouq Aminu $4900 are solid plays, Meyers Leonard $4000 is coming around and Mason Plumlee $5500 will want bragging rights against his brother. Allen Crabbe $4100 and Gerald Henderson $3100 are possible bargains off the bench. Greg Monroe $7000 led the Bucks last night (24 points, 12 boards) but they fell short in Sacramento.
Who knows what to expect from the Suns with Jeff Hornacek fired? Devin Booker $5600 and P.J. Tucker $5400 are the safest plays. An inspired Tyson Chandler $4900 double-doubled on Sunday against his former team but his effort has been inconsistent. With Earl Watson as interim coach, perhaps Markieff Morris $4800 will get a clean slate, or at least be showcased for a trade. Toronto’s 11-game win streak was snapped last night in Denver as DeMar DeRozan $8100 was the only starter to play well. With James Johnson $3500 (ankle) questionable, Terrence Ross $4000 gets a boost in value.
