Here are the probable starters and backups for all 30 teams. This is provided to help you with draft prep, going deep enough for any 20-team league.
We list the ten players on each team expected to receive the most minutes. It’s a work in progress, to be updated often throughout the season as injuries occur and roles change.
Not included are a few injured players expected to miss a great deal of time. For example, Andrew Bynum. [Square brackets] indicate an injured player who could return soon enough to maintain his fantasy value. *Asterisks denote rookies; note that very few are projected for starting jobs.
This format also prevents us from listing “third-stringers” who could have fantasy value, like Nate Robinson. We take a few liberties with positions, as many leagues have more PF-C eligible players and SG-SF than those who qualify at only one spot.
Each player’s name links to his page in our Scores & Stats section. The three-letter team abbreviations link to their rosters and clicking on any small icon will open up the corresponding Team Page.
Jeff Nichols says
ATL – Ayon is hurt – it looks like Mike Scott will eat his minutes
BOS – Rondo is hurt – I suspect that Green starts at SG
CLE – Clark will start ahead of Gee, Bennett and Bynum are way ahead of Walton and Zeller
DEN – McGee is starting ahead of Hickson
DET – Stuckey is hurt, setting up Billups to start at SG and Datome is likely 6th man and ahead of Singler at SF
MIL – Butler is starting ahead of Delfino who is hurt
NOH – Stiemsma is starting and Smith if coming off the bench, also wouldn’t be surprised if Morrow beats out Rivers
OKC – Gomes is ahead of PJIII
ORL – Hedo is not coming back and Maxiell should get minutes at C
PHI – Anderson is starting at SG, Richardson and Brown are unlikely to see the floor due to injuries, Darius Morris, Khalif Wyatt and Lavoy Allen are better bets
PHO – Archie Goodwin is miles ahead of Marshall
SAC – talk is McLemore will start with Thornton coming off the bench
SAS – I think Joseph has jumped ahead of Mills
WAS – Porter and Booker are hurt and Al Harrington will play a lot.
