With the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns both fighting for a playoff spot in their respective conferences, things got quite feisty during their contest on Monday. There were a total of three ejections, five technicals and two flagrant fouls during the game, and things truly boiled over in the third quarter when Alex Len and Hassan Whiteside went at each other.
After Whiteside grabbed an offensive rebound off a Dwyane Wade miss and dunked over Len, the Miami Heat center came down and appeared to bring his right arm down on Len’s neck area. Not thrilled with the contact, Len shoved Whiteside to the ground. Whiteside got right back up to return the favor and tackled Len. Here’s the clip:
Both players were ejected for the altercation and a suspension may be coming.
Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz saw the play unfold and had this reaction:
After this ,Hassan better have 99 in the tackle category . #2Kratinggoinup
