SH Blog: Steve Nash stars in “The Point Guard Strikes Black”
Steve Nash has had a busy summer thus far, and it has a lot more to do with his off-court activities than his upcoming decision as a free agent. He just held his annual charity soccer game in New York City yesterday, and though we don’t have full footage yet, we do have this clip of Mike Dunleavy Jr. getting nailed with a soccer ball by Elton Brand, via Dan Devine. Nash has also been producing a parody movie series
Tonight’s best game: Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix
Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns were far from playoff contention heading into the All-Star break. Since the beginning of March, however, they have turned a corner, compiling an 18-10 record and are just a half-game behind the Utah Jazz for the eighth seed in the Western Conference. Phoenix (32-30) looks to bounce back from a loss and stay squarely in the playoff picture as they host the Los Angeles Clippers in Thursday’s best game on TNT. They defeated the Clippers in the
Suns’ Grant Hill has knee surgery
The playoff hopes of the Phoenix Suns took a hit Friday when forward Grant Hill underwent surgery on his right knee. He is expected to return before the end of the regular season, the team said. According to the team, Hill was under the knife less than 30 minutes for a procedure performed by Suns orthopedic surgeon Dr. Thomas Carter, who repaired a medial meniscus tear. Hill had an MRI on Thursday that revealed the tear. He sat out games Tuesday and

His faith is paying off as Phoenix (23-22) is just 1/2 game behind the eighth-seeded Houston Rockets

Andris Biedrins also regains some fantasy value with Ekpe Udoh joining Ellis in Milwaukee. The Kings may have been overconfident, a luxury they can’t afford In Other News TOR @ CLE: Slowly but surely, Andrea
Orlando and Phoenix end two types of eight-game winning streaks
A few nights ago, the Orlando Magic somehow managed to blow a big lead to lose to the worst team in the NBA. On Thursday night, they visited the best team in the league and found a way to come out with a victory. Such have been the ups and downs of a roller coaster season for the Magic and Dwight Howard, who continues to face questions about what may happen by the trade deadline. Against Derrick Rose and the Bulls, the Magic

Highlight Performance: Anthony Morrow, NJ– Everybody knew Morrow was going to get some serious minutes, following injuries by MarShon Brooks (Broken Toe) and DeShawn Stevenson (Swollen Knee). We also understood that he can hit some 3 pointers, which is his main source of production. However, Friday Night Morrow went ballistic, scoring 42 points, and hitting an absurd 8-11 shots from long range. Nights like these are not to be expected often from Morrow, although with a such a heavy dose of
